What is the ChronoTrack Timing System and how does it work?
The Shamrock Shuffle 3K continues to offer the latest in race timing technology, the ChronoTrack Timing System.
Over the last year, runners and race directors alike have come to rely on the disposable ChronoTrack B-Tag, a disposable UHF RFID tag, to time their races with convenience and ease.
Because the B-Tag is mounted on the back of the runner's bib, it is virtually invisible to the participant and requires no special pre or post race handling. The disposable B-Tag insures high accuracy, fast results and simplicity of use for races of all sizes.
This new timing innovation is expected to set the benchmark for the timing industry and will be used at major running events around the country this spring. ChronoTrack Systems is proud to lead the industry as the only major race timing system developed and manufactured in the USA.
The ChronoTrack Timing System will be distributed with your race number at the Pre-Registration/Packet Pickup on March 10th and 16th and on Race Day, March 17th. Race Timing and Runners Services are performed by Super Race Systems (superracesystems.com).
Click here for further information and for instructions on how to use the ChronoTrack Timing System.
Can spectators watch the start and/or finish of the race?
Yes. However, spectators need to remain on the sidewalks at all times and out of the race course. This helps to ensure the safety of race participants. The start of the race can be viewed from the sidewalks on the corner of Broadway and Short Street and the finish can be viewed from the sidewalks on the corner of Broadway and Main Street in front of Sawyer’s. Your cooperation is appreciated.
Where can I park for the race?
Street parking is available in downtown Lexington as well as garage parking in the structure across Broadway from Victorian Square.
Will there be water along the racecourse?
No. Due to the short distance of the race, water will only be available at the finish of the race. Water will be available immediately at the end of the race outside and also inside of Victorian Square.
Will there be restroom facilities available?
Yes. Public restrooms are located inside Victorian Square.
Can I wear a costume?
We encourage our participants to dress up for the race in Irish and shamrock themed costumes. We've seen some great ones over the years! There will be a contest for the best costume following the race in the atrium of Victorian Square.
How do I reach a real person?
Contact Megan Meserve, Race Director, for questions, comments, or concerns.
